High-gloss coating for agricultural machinery

For an environmentally-friendly high-gloss coating for agricultural machinery, we recommend a water-dilutable coating system consisting of DREISOCRYL-AQUA-GRUND X1520 and DREISODUR-2K-AQUA-LACK SERIES 34. The steel designs of one renowned Dutch manufacturer of agricultural machinery are cleaned with water and a phosphating additive by means of a steam jet, and after drying, a sand yellow primer is applied with DREISOCRYL-AQUA-GRUND X1520. After drying overnight at room temperature, the top coat is applied with DREISODUR-2K-AQUA-LACK SERIES 34, primarily in RAL 1028 and RAL 3002. The entire system has a dry film thickness of 100 to 120 µm. A gloss of approx. 85 EH Byk 60 °∡ is achieved. The surfaces show excellent coating with high scratch resistance and first-rate adhesion values (cross cut GT 0).
